Do not even waste your breath in telling me U2 is a "christian band." I don't want to hear it, but I will take the time to share with you the facts.
Let's start with this quote from lead singer Bono. Remember, he's talking about our God in three persons. Bono - "The Holy Spirit is like a woman. Undependable. Joke! Joke!"

God is like a woman? No way! But to go further and say God is undependable. I should be able to stop here but I will go on.

U2 has been heralded across this nation as a Christian band by "christian" magazines, "christian bands" and even "christian" bookstores, but this article will show you that the fruit does not match up to their confessions.

Let's start with the past. Would it suprise you to know that Bono used to sing songs in concert glorifying satan, including the Rolling Stones own "Sympathy for the devil?" How about the fact that he supports gay rights, and this website shows him putting on women's make-up,
sitting on a couch next to a cross-dresser,
hugging professed homosexual Elton John,
and pretending to kiss his lead guitarist?
and ACTUALLY! kissing Leam Gallagher from 'Oasis'!
and again kissing his bassist during a concert!

How about the fact that he dressed as satan in his concerts and pranced around calling it his alter ego "MacPhisto!?"

Can I stop yet? Listen to what else he's been quoted as saying?

As for queries about the secret to U2's longevity and what's kept them together for the past two decades,
Bono joked: "We're all gay. You have a problem with that?"

When questioned about "christian" music, Bono offered the following answer:
